Verdion reaches shortlist for Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards 2017
Verdion has reached the shortlist for the Yorkshire Post’s 2017 Excellence in Business Awards, in the category of Commercial Space, for its £600 million iPort scheme in Doncaster, U.K.
The awards, hosted by Yorkshire’s chief local newspaper, celebrate the best of the region’s companies. The Commercial Space category, for which Verdion is nominated alongside Jaywing Harris CM Ltd, Tokyo Industries, recognises a commercial project that is “an inspiring use of commercial space, and also shows the real value of world class architects and designers”, whether newbuild or existing.
Mark Casci, the Yorkshire Post’s Business Editor, said: “”In these ever-changing and evolving times it is essential we celebrate and highlight the outstanding work that so many of our companies do on a day-to-day basis.
“I am continually stating how Yorkshire is a world-class centre for business and nothing sums this up more than these awards.”
iPort, the 35ha strategic rail freight interchange being developed by Verdion, is bringing businesses such as Amazon, CEVA and Lidl to the region.
The results of the awards will be announced in a ceremony that will take place on November 2nd at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.
