Verdion announces completion of new Amazon mega-warehouse at iPort
Verdion has completed construction of the new 1.1 million sq ft (102,190 sq m), £100 million logistics facility for Amazon at iPort, its 6 million sq ft (557,400 sq m) strategic rail freight interchange in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
The bespoke warehouse is 0.5 kilometres in length – the size equivalent of 14 football pitches – while the building design itself is state of the art, with an interior fit-out design and specification that is cutting edge and unique to Amazon.
John Clements, European Development Director, Verdion, comments: “We are delighted to have completed on schedule, less than 12 months after signing the deal with Amazon – extremely quick for such a large and complex project.”
Gent Visick, CBRE and Colliers are letting agents for iPort.
